Tour de France but with Cheese - Week 2

This week the Tour de France passes through some exciting cheese regions and we get to talk about two of our all time favourite cheeses!

Epoisses de Bourgogne and Roquefort!

Époisses is a super gooey, very creamy washed rind cheese that boasts an impressive pungent aroma and a rich, velvety texture. A robust flavour, with earthy, nutty undertones complemented by a distinct cured meaty flavour. It is one of those cheese's that changes your life.

Best paired with A crusty French baguette, as well as fruity jams or honey. Local Burgundy wines like Chablis and Pinot Noir make for ideal companions!

Roquefort! Big, bold and a truly legendary blue sheep’s milk cheese crafted in the caves of Roquefort-sur-Soulzon in the south of France. Renowned for its distinctive blue veins and creamy texture,  bold, tangy flavour profile with hints of saltiness and earthiness.

Roquefort, figs and sliced prosciutto is a perfect flavour combination, as well as, honey, or pear slices, to balance its flavours. Why not enjoy this iconic cheese with a glass of sweet dessert wine like Sauternes.

Both amazing cheese's are ready and waiting for you to Tour de France with Cheese this week!
